Founder and CEO of Pure Green Franchise, Ross Franklin, is disrupting the world of cold-pressed juice and superfoods smoothies.
Have you heard of “The King Of Juice?” This entrepreneur has had a hand in taking cold-pressed juice mainstream. He has worked with cold-pressed juice companies such as Liquiteria, Organic Avenue and of course Pure Green which has been called the fastest-growing juice bar franchise. Voted as one of the top five wellness entrepreneurs of 2019 according to Thrive Global, Ross Franklin is the Founder and CEO of Pure Green Franchise.
Franklin is a speaker at the annual cold-pressed juice conference called JuiceCon hosted by Goodnature. He has become known for building cold-pressed juice and smoothie brands from the ground up. But where did he get his start?
Franklin didn’t grow up in an entrepreneurial household nor one that supported a healthy lifestyle by today’s standards. He was active as an adolescent serving as captain of his high school wrestling team and was on the cross country team. His life-long journey into health and wellness started after college when he worked as the Fitness Manager and Personal Trainer at The Sports Center at Chelsea Piers. Franklin states “Their expertise (trainers and staff at Chelsea Piers) and interest in the field had a positive effect on my professional life.”
After leaving The Sports Center at Chelsea Piers, Franklin stayed within the fitness industry and worked for some of the most high-end fitness centers in America, including Equinox Gyms, New York Sports Clubs among others.
Franklin then started his own consulting company where he opened up new gyms, fitness concepts and turned around struggling wellness businesses. His company RF Consulting did everything from purchasing and upgrading fitness equipment for upscale apartment buildings to consulting with businesses on wellness programs for their employees to helping open new restaurants.
Franklin grew RF Consulting to take on juice bar clients and other beverage companies including Liquiteria and Organic Avenue. Franklin states:
“The concept of a juice bar strongly appealed to me as educating people on the high-performance benefits of cold-pressed juice, handcrafted superfood smoothies and acai bowls were in aligned with my vision to taking of health to the world.”
Franklin founded Pure Green in 2014 with the intention to become the pre-eminent brand in health and wellness. He started with a single retail location in New York City and quickly expanded to multiple retail locations. The company now has a robust wholesale business, online business, and fast-growing franchise business.
